So as it says in the title I'm trying to run two different graphics cards, the issue I'm having is that when I turn on my computer it flashes on then quickly turns off. the 7770 requires a 500w power supply for cross fire and the 270 requires the same. I have a 600w power supply so I would think that's enough unless I have to add both of those together for a 1000w power supply but I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. I've heard that running two different cards at the same time can cause choppy video or something like that but this is far beyond that so I don't know what to do here...

Solution
1) If you are trying to CF those two cards, it will not work. Both cards have to have the exact same GPU to be CF compatible.

2) The sudden shut down may well be the quality of the PSU you have. Both cards maxed out peak at ~230W: http://www.hwcompare.com/16575/radeon-hd-7770-vs-radeon-r9-270/
A good quality 500W PSU with a strong +12V rail may be able to handle both cards at startup. But your TR2 is not very good quality. It is ranked in the last tier (the not recommended tier*): https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware/f/135081/t/45344.aspx?Redirected=true

My CPU is AMD 88 5600k my PSU is a thermaltake TR2 600w and my mother board is a gigabyte f2a85x-up4 if that's important also it's an FM2 socket. Also I was planning on still just having both monitors run out of the same card (270) but I was under the impression that xfire would still help the power of my computer, would running each monitor out of a separate card help?

* "Tier 5 power supplies are NOT RECOMMENDED. If you have one, you should strongly consider replacing it ASAP. These can damage your computer, and often cannot put out the power that they're rated for. If a brand name is listed here, then all models from that brand name are considered to be Tier 5, except for those specific models listed above."

I looked through the list and I'll probably still take it out but I noticed that the list of cards in that comparison were the HD 7770, my card looks different from all of those and I was wondering if either the sapphire part or the GHz edition part would make a difference? AS for the power supply I'll definitely have to change it but I just got it and am fairly light on cash, How long do you think that one will last for?
