Windows Xp Professional x64 edition sound driver problem.

Hi, I recently installed Windows Xp professional x64 edition and i am having trouble finding a sound driver installation that would work for my system.
My Specs:
Dell Optiplex GX280 desktop
Motherboard: Dell 0T4649
CPU: PENTIUM 4 640 3.20GHz
Audio Chipset: ADI 198x – AC97

I have tried many installations but i get errors like the files are not supported for my hardware or the installation failed. Please help!

It might be just because windows XP is just so outdated. Are you sure when your installing the drivers they support and work for XP as well? If you install 8.1 drivers on XP it will not work.
