Hey everyone,

I've looked for answers to this problem but I'm still unsure of my question.

I have 2 AMD Radeon HD 7750. I want to buy a second monitor so I can have dual displays. My question is this:

Do I HAVE to connect them on the same card or can I use 1 for each. I plan on using 2 DVI cables to connect each individually but I'm unsure if that'll work. Would it be better to connect them to a single card? As in is there any advantages over separate connections. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sincerely,

I wouldn't even consider connecting one monitor to one GPU and the other to the other respectively, knowing that the ideal way would be to connect both monitors to one. Why would you take that route anyways? Do you not have a particular cable :p?

I'm pretty sure you have to connect it to the same card.... At least that's the way SLI works I think, I'm not too sure about CrossFireX: http://www.nvidia.in/object/sli-technology-multimonitor-in.html

Edit: I just checked. Yes, it's as stated above ^.

I thought about that too. I think I would have to buy an adapter or something. I'm not too sure what the ports are, but I know one of them is HDMI and it includes an info thing that says the other port is a digital signal only. That's why I was confused as to how to go on with this.

Oh my goodness. I misread this stuff. Thank you! You've been so much help in me understanding more about this. The DVI cable works on the digital output slot as well. I thought way too much about this. Thanks again!
