I am new to building a desktop and I've built one, i turn on the desktop and the monitor but i get no display after connecting vga/dvi to the monitor and motherboard and video card, Please help me( both devices get power, but i don't know why the monitor does not receive a vga/dvi signal)

If anyone is willing to help, i'll tell all of the needed specs

In the middle of the mobo, to the left of where it sais "SLI", there`s a BIOS battery.
Un-clip it and remove it for a minute. Then place it back, make sure that the monitor is connected to the motherboard and the GPU remove from the PCIe slot (not just removing the power cables), and try to start up.

You can start by giving us the specs to your build.
Then, remove the GPU for now, connect the monitor to the motherboard ports (DVI or VGA), and while you remove the GPU, you can also clear CMOS (there should be a big round battery on your motherboard - carefully remove it, wait a minute and place it back).

If this will work, we`ll get to the next steps. For now, try it, and give us the result.

Did you manage to get your monitor working?
If yes, plug in the GPU (monitor still connected to mobo), start up the PC, and download and install the latest drivers for your card from the Nvidia/AMD website. Don`t download them from the manufacturer (asus, gigabyte, msi...), because usually they have an older version there.

If everything goes OK, you should now be able to connect succesfully the monitor to the GPU.
If you get to this step, bo into BIOS (press Delete key at start-up), and go in the menu and Disable the Integrated Graphics.
