Hi! I would like to change my PSU due to the problems I faced below.

My PSU is a little more than 1.5 years and it was going great. But I cannot game even for 10 minutes straight. GPU keeps increasing to 70 I think but afterwards it shuts off my PC during gaming with a loud sound of freezing and scrambling the screen and then a few seconds later, it's off.

Immediately, I can turn on my PC without any delay. It's more likely to occur during playing games and during installation of a game. Damn, I cannot even install a game and PC shuts off.

I have done burnintest and it passed. Moreover, even after passing numerous tests, my PC failed in 3 OCCT tests - CPU, GPU and PSU. Is my PSU or Mobo faulty? Thank you

I am so distraught because I am unable to play games and under current settings, it's a wonder but it's true that I could play games with around 30 FPS in medium or low settings. I had finished Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, and Watch Dogs (quite hard in FPS but it sure was playable with some tweaks) and almost done with Unity in low settings getting a very low FPS (suddenly unplayable after reaching sequence 8). But for a month now, I cannot because of this problem.

My PC Configuration is:
Motherboard: XFX X-G31
Processor: Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8GHz
RAM: 3GB DDR2 (Max 4GB in 2 slots)
GPU: Gigabyte HD 5770 1GB GDDR5
PSU: Corsair VS 450
Resolution: 1366x768

Solution
70C is nothing for a graphics card, definitely not overheating. However, you should take a look at your CPU temps. Try using Open HW Monitor or a similar utility to see what is the maximum temp it reaches during gaming. If it goes above 74C, your CPU is overheating and initiates automatic shutdown.

Reseat all cards and memory sticks and try again.

Also, as I can see, you have 2 memory sticks of different sizes (presumably different brands / timings as well) and this can lead to all sorts of problems. Try using only 1 stick and test with it. Then just the other one if it fails with the first.

If nothing of the above helps, then and only then get a new PSU as this is the next reasonable step. Get this one...
