bit confused: which OS do i need for 1st build

Hello,
(apologies if this has been already explained somewhere else)

I´ve just built my 1st gaming rig but im quite unsure of which Win OS do i need to buy, since the pricing here in Germany is a bit confusing.
Should I buy a oem, or other Windows OS? I know I need win 7 64bit, its just that some cost 40EUR but others 80EUR...any help appreciated :))

If you buy OEM it will be tied to the motherboard of the first PC you install it on, which means you can't later transfer it to another PC, that's why it's cheaper than non-OEM retail Windows version.

So if you want the freedom to install it on a different PC in the future (provided you remove it from the first PC), pay the extra for the retail version.
