SSD Stuck in Bracket - Screws Turn Freely But Don't Come Out

I've had my Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB SSD in this crappy Silverstone bracket for a while now, and I'm trying to take it out and move it to my new hot-swap bay.

The four screws securing the drive to the bracket all turn freely BOTH ways - all four are behaving exactly the same way and can be turned clockwise or counterclockwise with ease. However the screws don't actually come out away from the drive/bracket at all. They just turn in place. My drive is stuck there.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any suggestions?

Hello... it's called a "stripped thread" you will need to have to apply force ( wedge ) on the screw head edge "up" ( set of wire cutters -needle nose- flat blade small screw driver ) and while at the same time turning the screw counter-clockwise... and try to get the threads to engage agian.
Or you can just cut the head of the screw off ( set of wire cutters ), get your bracket/drive free and use a needle nose pliers to un-screw the shaft of the screws from the drive.

If they turn in both direction, and it's not stripped, you could have used a slightly too small of a screw. I've seen and done that before LOL.

It slides in OK, but you can't turn it really but it's just wide enough that the threads catch on the sides and you can't just pull them out easily, need to grab them with something or shake them out.

This is the correct approach.

Get a small wedge such as a jewelry screwdriver or exacto knife and slide it between the screw and the bracket. Then, apply a slight force to the wedge while turning the screw counter clockwise with another screw driver.
