Hello,

I bought ADATA PREMIER SODIMM DDR3-1333 4GB, with part number AD3S1333W4G9-R.
When I inserted that ram into my notebook, every software in SPD section identifies that ram stick as Samsung 4GB PC3-12800 (800 MHz), with part number M471B5173DB0-YK0, and I think its DDR3L, as it supports both 1,35/1,5 voltage.
Other stick which was supplied with notebook (not the same as new bought) and is inserted into notebook is correctly identified as Adata.
Is it problem with its identification or Adata sells rebranded memory? Or is it faulty and I should contact seller about replacing it?

Solution
I think it's fine. Again, not too sure about the discrepancy with the product name, but if it works, it works, and I'd trust a Samsung product before an Adata product anyhow. They may even be partnering and it could be a shared number.
If CPU-Z reports it as Samsung memory on the SPD tab, then it's Samsung memory. It may be the seller filled the order with an alternate part number they felt was compatible. It's not unheard of with some of the less mainstream vendors, although I'd be skeptical about getting a part that was different than advertised. The Samsung memory is probably better anyhow but if it is recognized and works in your machine at the correct or even at higher speeds, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not sure if it is a seller mistake, because it came in sealed Adata package, and on ram stick there is Adata sticker. However, I just took out that ram stick, and I could see in the corner of PCB, there is Samsung name written in small letters, and on other place of PCB there is Samsung part number which looks diferent (M471B5173DB4-V210).
Yes it works correctly and all all memory is recognised by Windows.
At first I was worried, because CPU-Z showed new stick is at 1,35V, while my old stick works at 1,5 but after that I looked at Samsung website by part number, it can work at both voltages at all frequencies.
So if understood, I shouldnt be worried about that stick?
