AMD FX-8350 has suddenly started overheating; this has never been a problem before

Hi guys,

I've been trying to read up a bit on this issue, but after some confusion I reckoned this was the best place to come to get an answer. Back in August, I built my own PC (specs below). I'm a video editor by trade, and as such I would regularly be running my PC under heavy loads for extended periods of time while exporting videos. I was always aware that the CPU would run fairly hot during this (probably around 65-70°C) However, very recently, without me changing any settings at all, my PC started powering down while I was exporting videos. This had never once happened before, but now it happens every time an exporting session runs for longer than ~20 minutes.
After reading around a bit, and using some of the bundled ASUS monitoring tools, it looks like my CPU is hitting 90°C and then automatically powering down.
My question is- why is this happening now when it didn't before? Have I unwittingly damaged my CPU by running it too hot for the last few months and it's only now becoming apparent? And how can I fix this? Is it just a case of upgrading my cooling or will I have to replace the CPU in order to get stable performance under these heavy loads like I used to have?

Thanks,
Tommy

~in terms of cooling, I only have the two case fans and the stock fan that came with the CPU. I always meant to upgrade this, but never got around to it...~

Two Corsair case fans and the fan that came with the processor. I know it's not really adequate for what I'm using it for, but I'm curious why it's suddenly started overheating now, when it hadn't before.
