Question about SATA Cable

So basically i installed my new GPU today. Now i have a smaller case, so automatically my MOBO and everything inside is smaller and it's a really tight fit. Now what i wonder is since my GPU is Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 Gigabyte IX OC 2GB Edition and due to the small MOBO, the fit is pretty tight causing the GPU to completely block off 2 SATA Ports and since the other two are being used, those two sata connectors/cables are in direct contact with the GPU Heat sink. What i wonder is, should i be worried about that? Can it cause any harm? And what can i do to prevent any damage to the SATA cables.

Thanks.

See on that image, that marked area is what is touching the cable, the white heat sink. copper pipes are not in contact with the cable.

This is my Motherboard

I doubt you would have any problem there.
While running, put your finger on the heat sink to gauge how hot it might get.
Sata cables come with a variety of different ends.
Here is a left angle cable That I think might clear the graphics card.
Check the orientation of the notched part to see what it will clear in your case.

They also come in right angles with straight and angled opposite ends too.

I got one angled SATA Cable. I will test it in the morning and see what kind of clearance will i get. In the meanwhile i will just check with my local store if they have the required cables. If i get enough clearance i will go ahead and purchase one pair. I will report back here once i have tested it.

Okay so, went in today, took out the GPU, placed a Angled cable and i would have enough clearance but the cable is angled in the wrong direction so i will need to buy an right angled cable in order to replace it. I will be doing that tomorrow.

Here are the pictures, the surface that is in contact is not really big:

Upper cable is connected to DVD Reader, lower one to HDD.

I apologize for the poor quality of the picture as it was taken with my phone.

Also i noticed after some 2+ hours of playing BF4, GPU never went above 68.0 degrees celsius.
