I will be building my own PC now that I have my mind set on returning my iMac 5k. My budget will be around 2500$ Yet i don't know much about PC's any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated. The PC I want to build will mostly be used for 4k video editing and gaming, not hardcore super ultra gaming but for gaming.

I use Adobe Premiere most of the time, of what I know I am aware that CS6 starts to render from the GPU as well does Adobe After Effects

if you want to game at 4k 60Hz only the titan x can handle it alone. It comes at a premium thoguh: $1000. But you could also do 2way 980 SLI, which is also around $1100. These twp options are really the only ones that make sense right now for 4k gaming. As for the cpu, if you want to get into enthusiast grade stuff, get the i7 5820k hexa-core. It's one of the more budget options ($380) of X99.

I know but he said he will be looking into 4K monitors. So then when he gets one he will probably play on it. A gtx 970 is not enough for 4K gaming @60hz even in SLI.

Are you going to game on the 4k panel once you get it?

you only put 2 sticks of ram instead of 4. Get a 4x4GB kit to take advantage of quad-channel
