My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 has been randomly shutting off for the past year. I brought it to the service center (even when there was no more warranty) and they did a factory reset on it to no avail. I have opened the back cover of the tab before and tried fixing it, thinking it was the battery or a loose connection. It worked for awhile after i fixed it but a month later it started doing random shutdowns again. Even the slightest touch can make it turn off. Sometimes it doesnt turn off for a day, sometimes it doesnt even want to turn on. Any suggestions?

Well, the unfortunate truth is that the Galaxy Tab 3 series tablets were really just.. not very good.

Being they came out in 2013, they were unfortunately built with really inadequate hardware, at overpriced costs until Christmas Shopping Season, and it was really not something I recommended to anyone.

Your Tab 3 is more than likely shutting off as a result of the Li-On Battery starting to just run out of cells, and is just at the end of it's life cycle. It could also just be a software issue as the tab 3 8.0 and 10.0 did not really take very well to Android 4.4.2, but you're more than likely just dealing with a dying battery.

My honest recommendation, consider upgrading to a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (or something with higher quality like...

My honest recommendation, consider upgrading to a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (or something with higher quality like the Pro 10.1 or Tab S), or possibly browsing around for a Nexus 7 (2013) if you don't mind sporting a smaller display, I still recommend that tablet as one of the best Android experiences money can buy.
