Hey, I'm new to building PC and this is my first build, (keep in mind I live abroad and I'm having a relative bring the parts here since they are coming to visit)

Intel Pentium G3258

Radeon R7 250X, R7 250X 2GB or R7 260X DDR3 2GB

2x4GB Dell RAM - (http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Memory-PC2-5300-SNP9F035CK2-8G/dp/B003Y5L2LY/ref=sr_1_11?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1427285579&sr=1-11) No idea why its so cheap.

1TB WD Blue HD

And thats the main things I'll probably have them bring, since those are the parts that are overpriced here.

1) Why would those dell RAM sticks be so cheap? Are they defective or something or is it just an extreme sale?

2) In regards to installing Windows 8.1, I have a disk for it but its all scratched up, can I download the installer on a USB and install it from there?

3) I see a lot of people increasing the CPU speed to 4.5 and even 4.7, will this cut the CPU's life by a lot or is it just 5-10%? Is it worth it? I'm thinking of going to like, 4.2GHz, is that fine?

4) How much power will this consume? What kind of power supply should I use? (my budget is 370$)

5)R7 250x 1GB vs 2GB vs 260X 2GB DDR3, which is best for buck?

6) (This is more of a request) where can I find an in-depth and full video showing how to overclock? I tried on youtube and dailymotion but I can't find one for the 3258.

7) Does the motherboard have a large impact on the build? If so, any suggestions?

Thank you very much for your time.

1) The ram is inexpensive because of this (a factor anyway) "8GB kit is compatible with the following Dell servers and workstations only. POWEREDGE 1900 POWEREDGE 1950 POWEREDGE... This memory will not work in regular desktop computers." You're going to want to look at a different kit of ram (DDR3)
2) You should be able to download windows from the MS site onto a jump drive, you'll use the product key that came with the Windows 8.1 disk
3) Overclocking is an art form of sorts, this guide may be of help http://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/intel_pentium_g3258_oc_guide/ the chip was designed with overclocking in mind but an aftermarket cooler will be needed to get decent clocks (see #6 also)
4) A quality 500W PSU...

4) A quality 500W PSU will easily run what you are showing
5) The R7-260X see this graphics card performance article http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-2.html
6) try some of these guides https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Overclock+an+Intel+Pentium+G3258
7) The design of the motherboard does have an impact when overclocking, you'll want to ensure the motherboard you choose has some cooling over the VRM (Voltage Regulation Module) which will help overall power stability
Hope it helps some

It's also ddr2 and not compatible with the other parts anyway.Like said look for ddr3.
