Hello guys,

I had some problems with my hard drive recently (clicking and such) so I decided to backup my stuff into one of my friend's hard disk. My hard disk is a Toshiba DT01ACA0 hard drive 500GB, the hard drive I tried to add was exactly the same kind. My hard drive has two installations of Windows 7, her hard drive has an Windows XP installation. When I connect her hard drive both my Windows installations refuse to load (I get the choose Windows version, and when I select one, it asks if I want safemode or not, and comes back to the choose Windows screen whatever I choose). When I try to load from her XP installation, a memory dump occurs and restarts.

Is there a way that I can load my computer with both hard drives?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Hold on and calm down, we can help you but need more info.

What's the problem? (whose drive is broken?)
Is your data backed up and safe in any way?
Can you access the drive externally? (Connected via USB to another PC?
Do you want to fix the HD or get a new one?
Why do you have two win 7 installations?
What EXACTLY are you trying to do to fix it?
