EVGA GTS 450 won't work properly - Please help!!

I recently installed a new hdd and from that point onward my graphics card will no longer work. The mini HDMI output does not work anymore and I cannot install the drivers on to the new hdd as the error message "install cannot continue - this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware" comes up. I have tried installing the drivers from the disk and download but nothing seems to work.

Does anybody know what the problem is here? Thanks for any help!

The monitor HDMI is connected to a HDMI switch so that my Xbox One and PC can share one monitor. I just tried plugging the monitor HDMI directly into the graphics card and there is still no picture on my monitor. I use a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter for my graphics card because there is no standard HDMI on it.

Also, the PSU power is properly connected.
