I'm building a ASUS Z97-A 1150. I'm having problems with the memory. I've installed Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 ver8.22 and my board will not boot to bio's. Checking the motherboards specs it say's everything is right except the ver # its (Ver.3.24)(XMP). Is this stoping me from entering bio's?

At times, DRAM makers will continue a line of sticks but change the actual make and/or model of the memory chips (ICs) they use, in this line they used to use Elpida ICs and with 3.24 I believe it was, they changed to Micron ICs, both are good chips (as are Hynix, Nanya and others. But at times you can run into compatibility issues, especially when mixing sticks using different ICs, as well as with ICs to mobo, which is why it's a good idea to keep the BIOS updated, it seldon shows, but most all BIOS lupdates contain numerous DRAM compatibility updates
