Does it matter if a motherboard doesn't have heatsinks although I don't plan on overclocking?

I am planning to buy MSI 970-G43 motherboard which doesn't have VRM heatsinks. I'm gonna have FX6300 with it and I don't plan overclocking it. But I'm gonna buy a graphic card and gonna play games in moderate settings. So the lack of heatsinks matter still?

Solution
Run it as is for mate - you will likely be OK - its just that for a few dollars more you could have picked up the g46 which is still poor quality but at least has vrm sinks, the gigabyte ds3p would have been the best buy for you in India.
The issue on the g43 isn't just the lack of sinks ,its that the caps themselves are poor poor quality - these things have actually been known to catch fire with 8 core chips.

Whatever you do dont ever use a tower style aftermarket cooler on that board as it will definitely throttle - the amd stock cooler at least pushes some air over the vrm area.

If you have spare money then this cooler

Will do a far far better job of cooling...

Oh, lol didn't read it was an AMD board, in that case, Yup, you need heatsinks...

No, I don't want to overclock. Also, I've attached four cabinet fans apart from the CPU and GPU fans. Hence, I achieve considerable airflow inside the cabinet.

You will be fine, especially since you have good airflow.

I see your answer inclined towards OC'ing the processor which I intend not to. Also, I already have the processor. I'm not buying a new one. I will use the pc for midlevel gaming for about 20 hours a week. Still, the motherboard is a no-no?

The mobo you picked is perfectly cable of running non-overclocked without heatsinks.

Depends on the fans he is using.

True, but if he picked up some noctua/corsair fans he would be more than perfectly fine.

True lol. You guys have confused me. I have a front inlet fan, a rear outlet fan, a side inlet and a side outlet fan - Totally four. Also I have a cabinet that is porous at the top. I will have my ceiling fan let air flow into the cabinet via the pores. And I don't have fancy cabinet fans. Just the usual ones.

The g43 is possibly the worst am3 board on the planet - I wouldn't buy it full stop - there are better options for similar money & that board should be an absolute last resort if nothing (& I do mean nothing ) else is available.

What country are you ?? There will be a better option I have no doubt.

I am in India. The problem is before I got to know about this heat sink issue, I ordered and got the product. Now I can't go for replacement. :(

Can I buy some after-market heatsinks? Like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835708011 ? So I don't want to worry about it.

Will do a far far better job of cooling the CPU & vrm area than any crappy stick-on Aluminium or copper heatsinks - they are honestly a pretty worthless buy - airflow is key here.

Thanks much. I will try and point a side fan over the vrm area which will likely solve some problem.

Ah thank you! I will have fans at top for exhaust.
