Very slow internet establishment after logon

I have one older system that I just rebuilt ( new mobo, case & power ) I kept OS and drive. Part of the reason to rebuild was to be upgradable, and to see if this one system would fix it's internet establishment issue. I have 6 other computers working from this router and switch that establish a connection within 11 seconds after logon, the system here in question takes 1-2 minutes to do the same. Once on it is fine. All I can summize is that a some point I changed the settings in windows which cause this slowness? I have changed the cable, whole new network adapter and driver, just the OS has remained the same. I thought about doing a completely clean re-install, but re-loading this particular system would be a daunting task due to it's links with my business. What could I have possibly changed months ago that is causing this glitch?

Solution

I suggest a reinstall of the OS, but do a windows backup or online backup before doing so

The new motherboard is an Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0. I believe the onboard controller is a realtek. I have done a re-install and driver update check. This issue must be deeper in the settings, but I don't know what to look for. This has been quite a challenge since I am just not familiar with all the advanced settings........

Oh, You're on wired. I thought i read you were on wifi... *Facepalm* [b/] In that case, try and swap out your cables and have a look on the black writing on them and make sure it says something like Cat5e, if not, this could be why you are experiancing issues

I changed out the cables as part of the new mobo. At this point, the only remaining issue is that old drive and OS have the same advanced settings from before....I just don't know which one to look at that is causing this issue.....As I said earlier, all other systems, wired and wireless, all 6, jump right on the internet within 10-15 seconds. This one is 1-2 minutes, in today's world that is forever !! :)

The only real issue with a full clean re-install is that this computer runs my AutoCAD and it's IPF 8300 counterpart. re-installing all that software and drivers, plus everything else is about a day or two. I was hoping to find if someone might know the advanced setting that might be slowing this connection down. I appreciate the time you took with me, and hope I might find another answer without a complete re-install. Thank you akaChromez :)

After spending too much time to find the culprit of the slow connection, I went ahead with a clean reinstall. Everything works super fast! I am on the internet within seconds, and with everything cleaned out, the system is as fast as a new build I have with an I5 overclocked. It was a burden, but well worth it to have a cleaned up system :)
