Hello,

Since a month or so I've been having trouble with my Asus Dark Knight router, meaning that it keeps dropping connection and I don't understand why.

I've tried google, but haven't found any solved threads.

On the PC side I've done all the resets necessary but it's not from there since when my Mac Mini looses signal, so doesn't my smartphone and any other laptop to table connected to it.

Before finding the temporary remedy, I thought it was from my internet provider, but when I tried to connect to my neighbour's weak wi-fi (who uses the same provider) it connected.

After that, when I tried to connect back to my Asus router, it connected and everything was working fine, so the solution is that when the internet (I'll say internet since all this time from no page will load anymore, I am connected to the router) drops, I have to go turn wi-fi off and them turn it back on so that my mac tries to connect to the router again and everything is working fine for another minutes/hours. Same with my smartphone that is connected to it, simply turn wi-fi off (or connect to a different router) and then turn it back on and it reconnects to it and everything works.

It is annoying because usually at night I live to computer on for torrents, only to come back in the morning and see that nothing uploaded/downloaded because sometime in the middle of the night, the connection was lost.

And yes, I have to latest firmware and I've tried a force reset from the button.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

If it happens on multiple devices it is an issue with the router and not the device.
You have reset router and flashed current firmware.

Outside of trying a generic build of DD-WRT or tomato firmware for your router, all that is left is for you to do is RMA (warranty return) it.
