Hello everyone. I have a CLEVO M570RU laptop. I bought it second hand from Germany in 2010, it was sold in 2007 by a company named NEXOC as model E705II.

The laptop has;

4GB 667Mhz rams (2x2GB)
Core2Duo T7700 2.4GHz 800MHz
Intel(R) PM965 + ICH8M Chipset
NVidia 8700M GT
240GB Kingston SSD (100+140)

I have 2 questions.

1) These things are written in the manual:

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor
(478-pin) Micro-FC-PGA Package, Socket P
T7300/ T7500/ T7700
65nm (65 Nanometer) Process Technology
4MB On-die L2 Cache & 800MHz FSB
2.0/ 2.2/ 2.4 GHz

Can i upgrade to a Core2Quad q9100? That only has 2 different things. One is the FSB (Q9100 has or requires (i don't know which word would be right) 1066 MHz and the other is something called process technology which is 45 nm.

I have a gut feeling that this would be too good to be true. But if it doesn't work, what would be my best choice of processor? If I install another 1066MHz FSB cpu, wouldn't it work at 800Mhz because this seems to be what the chipset supports? I am thinking of having a quad core cpu that works at 800 Mhz instead of dual core cpu that works at 800MHz. Please forgive me if sound stupid. I am just trying to learn. :(

2) When i plug in a headphone everything looks good and windows recognizes it but no sound. I tried XP, Vista, 7 and 8 with no luck. Just silence out of the port. I saw on a machine that is sold on eBay that this was a "common fault". Does anyone have the green headphone out jack not working? And did someone luckily manage to fix it?

Thanks for reading.
