Recently finished my first build for gaming, which consist of a i5 4690k, asus Maximus hero vii, 8gb corsair vengence ram, gtx 960 ssc, connected to a 24 inch Aoc g2460pqu. I'm using a old computers Dvi cable and vga to dvi adapter that was supplied by evga in the gpu box. Thanks in advance everyone you are appreciated!!

Did you install the newest drivers for the GTX 960 card?
Between that and your adapter being crap that is your two most likely items.
Not sure why you bought a nice monitor, a nice video card and then use VGA which is what we had on CRT monitors in the 1990s

Ok I'm not going to lie here! I overlooked the connectors on the gpu. They were covered with plastic caps. i figured it out. With your help of course. I switched to hdmi after trying to jam the hdmi into the display port a couple times.... Please forgive me!! It looks amazing now!! Thank you!
