Hi, I recently upgraded my internet service from 50Mbps/5 to 150Mbps/20 and my Linksys WRT54GS2 seems to not be able to handle anything past 55, so I was looking to upgrade from that.

I currently am looking at the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 or the Asus RT-AC68U, don't know which to buy, both have very good reviews and such. Should I just pick either out of preference or is there something I don't know to consider? Thanks in advance.

Yes definitely upgrade, your old router only has wireless g which is maxed at 54Mbps... but you could get by with much less $$ if you wanted.

Either of the ones you listed would be fine.

Here's a list of other ones that would probably do you just fine:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100010076%20%2050001233%20%2050001015%20%2050001413%20%2050012120%20%2050001315%2050001646&IsNodeId=1&srchInDesc=dual%20band&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&Order=RATING&PageSize=30

I'd go for any of them with 3 external antennas... gives you better range, etc.

I recently got the ASUS RT-AC68R (refurb) and it works great.

other features to consider: USB 3.0 port if you want to share files, gigabit ethernet ports, DD-WRT...
