Where can i buy an WD elements 3.5" hdd case? CAuse i got 2x WD green disks that i want to make external. Going to get a new pc case soon, but it only supports 4 storages.

What about a BlacX dual-slot?

If there's much difference in price between USB2 and USB3 then I'd just get USB2, especially if there's any problems with USB3 (newer product). You can try Amazon, Tigerdirect, Newegg etc.

$44 and note the customer feedback is better for this than the USB3 version so suit yourself. It's a storage drive so performance isn't critical:

And if you connect via eSATA (must have eSATA on motherboard or adapter for power) then I believe it's essentially the same as connecting internally to SATA connectors.

eSATA also works with power standby (i.e. set to 20 minutes) whereas I'm not sure how that works with USB... actually my 4TB Seagate wouldn't go into standby unless I ran a program from Seagate so not sure how BlacX or similar would work.

I want the WD elements specific. Cause i already got 2 identical 3TB WD elements and want them all to be lined up.

No esata or hdd dock, just the WD elements case with usb 3.0

Is that SINGLE or DUAL drive?

It's hard to find inexpensive dual-slot drives with good feedback. Also, not sure what capacity your HDD's but it's about $90 for a 2TB USB drive and $120 for a 4TB HDD so buying your own case can be hard to justify if they are 1TB or below.

A VANTEC is probably the best way to go ($30 single drive): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ZX2C39682

However two of these is $60 and a nice 2TB Seagate is $85:

So $25 more to have a single unit (and you can still use the other drives for backup and put in anti-static bags). Also, in my experience the enclosure are NOT AS RELIABLE.

(I know recommending a complete unit seems stupid at first but again look at the numbers.)

Well, for the actual external hdd's i already use a local online store to get them. I just need the WD elements external hdd case for my internal green disks to match the rest of my externals. And i can not use newegg as they don't ship to norway, nor can i use amazon since they are overpriced in the shipping.

And i prefer WD green disks/WD elements hdd's for my videos/backups/game installers (steam backups) as my oldest (6 year oldWD elements that i made internal) 1.5TB still works fine after all those years.
