Wifi Keeps going out can someone please help me?

Hello guys,

My name is Zack and I have a HP Pavilon G6 with a Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter and the connection keeps on dropping and resetting then working for several more minutes and then repeating.. I was hoping that someone can help me out. Let me know what diagnostics that I can run to help give you guys more info..

Is this happening on other devices as well? If so it could be the wireless router/access point. See if there is an update on the firmware for it.

If it is on your laptop only, maybe try to download the latest wireless drivers from HP website.

Also it could be a power setting on your laptop. Check your power settings in control panel and make sure the wireless is not on power saver mode. This is in the advance options. Also in the control panel in networking and devices right click on the wireless device | properties | configure. There should be a power option you have to uncheck that is about allow this device to turn off to save power. Something along those lines.
