Hello Forum members of Tom's Hardware I have been doing numerous about of research and have not been able to come across anything or too many things too know which one is correct. I am building a new computer and I am taking nothing from my old computer except my hard drives and SSD my new setup will be these components.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite grey and black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139008

I am using an Optical drive and 2 Hard drives and an SSD from an old computer.

Everything is subject to change except the graphics card so feel free to give me some recommendations. And help me clear up compatibility issues. So here are my questions.

What kind of power supply would I need for all of this? I don't think I'm going to want to upgrade the CPU in the future, but I am going to add an extra GTX 980 later on.

Should I go with the Corsair cooler for sleight overclocking and quietness or should I get a water cooling kit because I like to AFK in mmo's and a loud PC annoys me while I'm sleeping.

What are the real chances of static shock? Every video I watch on computer parts makes it seem at though static shock is going to burn my computer alive.

Thanks in advance I know how wonderful this community is and full of knowledge everybody here is :D

if your using two 980 then for safty pick up a good 850w or a 1000w power supply. when gaming stress hits a pc there a lot of heat given out by the cpu and gpu and power supply. if the power supply 12v line is near is max output with two gpu is can ripple out or drop when stressed for a long time. if the voltage drops to low your rig will just lock up or reboot. having a slightly larger then needed unit keeps the unit cooler under gaming stress and less chance of your rig having power issue. on the cpu cooler. if you buy one of the 140mm higher end air coolers around 60.00
the large fans run real slow when not loaded. (may want a fan controller so you can turn your fans down at night...or pick up one of the higher end mb that lets you turn the fans off in the bios using pmw fans). also pick up the asus strix o dm video cards...there fans dont come on till the card temps need them. have the 960 of this card and intell the card is stressed the fans stay off. sealed coolers have one downside over air coolers. if the pump fails...our rig is down till you get a replacment. with air coolers every 4-5 years you repaste the cooler and or blow the dust out or replace a bad fan once and awile.
