I have a MSI 4GD5T atm. I have a 160mhz overclock on core and 260 on memory. After boost, it core is 1450mhz and memory core is about 3.8k. My temp while gaming avg 69c.
Problem is, my core clock is running at 1350-1390mhz because of the TDP limit. I noticed that if I change the tdp to 110%, it runs at 1450mhz which is the actual oc clock.
Is it safe to increase tdp given my temp is avg at 75 even after the tdp increase? I also noticed the 'priority' button on MSI afterburner on tdp and temp bars, would changing it help?
Also, I asked the dealer where I got my 970 from, if I can exchange my 4GD5T for Gaming 4G edition. He agrees, but the card will be available on 3rd April. I'll have to pay around 20$ for the 4G edition tho. Is it worth it?
