Hi everyone I have a Asrock 990fx fatal1ty killer motherboard and every once in a while when I'm clicking through folders I get this crackle pop sound through my speakers. Never had that issue with my old Asrock board. Any advise would help.
Had the same issue.. Turns out if I change "SPDIF" to "stereo mix" and then mute it in the Realtek HD audio manager it stopped the popping sounds. Only thing i can figure is its picking up sounds as if a mic is plugged in ,even if one isnt. You can see the green bars rise and fall in the Sounds options in windows control panel under the Microphone tab when ever you click something. Maybe jack detection is buggered in the drivers ?
