Hello,

I've built a new PC a while ago and the stock cooler of the FX-6300 gets really hot. I'm wanting to replace it as well but I've got no idea what other cooler I should buy to replace it.

So my questions are:
- What is a decent/good CPU cooler for the FX-6300?
- Are there any risks? (Can something go wrong)
- Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains this in detail. (Preferably a video)

If this is your case http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/centurion-5/ it should fit without problems the required height of Cooler Master Hyper 212 is 159mm

Good choice of CPU cooler, it has really good performance.

"Dimensions 120 x 80 x 159 mm (4.7 x 3.1 x 6.3 in)

Heat Sink Dimensions 116 x 51 x 159 mm (4.6 x 2.0 x 6.3 in)"

You need to determine what will fit into your case. Usually the height is the problem, although interference with tall DIMMs, because of depth of the cooler can be a problem also.

List what the rest of your system configuration is and somebody should be able to make a recommendation.

Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5830
RAM: 8.00 GB
System OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I think I'll be going with the Hyper 212 Evo, just need a confirmation if it will fit or not.

After actually buying it and trying to put it onto my case, I noticed that there's no room behind my processor (in my case) for the backplate to put on, is there any way to solve this?
