Additional Comments: Will the system bottleneck a midrange GPU?

Why Are You Upgrading: I bought Alien: Isolation it needs a DX11 card. I would like to stream games from my PC to my Shield tablet.

I'd like your opinions on whether its worth getting a low to mid range DX 11 card to run this game? Or if the game just won't run well on my system and I shouldn't even bother.

I don't think I really need to upgrade the whole system even now. It has run everything I want to play (FryCry3 & Battlefield 4 are probably the most demanding things I play). I don't need everything on maximum.

I'd like it around the £150 or less. I assume if i spend anything more than it will be seriously bottlenecked by the 5 year old system. But maybe even an older £50 card would be enough to run Alien?

Finally I can add RAM if its worth it? But it would probably have to be 3x4gb sticks as the cooler blocks the 6th RAM slot.

I don't think a CPU upgrade is worth it?

tl;dr: What graphics card should I get to run Alien? Should I get another 6 gig of ram (3x2GB)?

Basic requirements - run Alien at 1680x1050, must be nVidia (I want to stream to my shield tablet). Less than £150 (unless something amazing, that won't be bottlenecked, is available).

Current system is just over 5 years old but still going strong:

Asus P6TD Deluxe Intel X58 (Socket 1366)

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66GHz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366)
Titan TTC-NK85TZ Fenrir CPU Cooler

Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Tri-Channel

Antec TruePower Modular 750W

GPU is a nVidia GTS 250 it was a quick replacement as I had work to do when the HD 5850 died. I was surprised how well it worked to be honest.

I was thinking GeForce GT 730 or maybe a GeForce GTX 960 but the later would be limited by CPU and RAM? Or something in between?

What do you think?

Thanks!
