what is better for streaming movies and downloading them; 250gb or 500gb

I am buying my first computer and my main reason for it is streaming and downloading movies, so with that in mind will a pc with 2gb memory and a 250gb hard drive be sufficient

Your OS will take 40 or 50 GB so you will end up with 190 (give or take) GB free. How much video you can store on the rest depends on the original resolution (DVD vs BlueRay) and the compression ratio. 2GB RAM is the bare minimum for Windows 7. You will be much happier with 4GB RAM.
