Hey guys, was wondering if these parts are compatible with each other. Specifically, I would like to know if a 550W PSU is adequate. I may be overclocking the gpu as well. Thanks!

The Kingston isn't that bad. Sure the Samsung is better, but I don't see this as a huge issue.

I see you are trying to pair an i5 4590 and a Z97 motherboard? Are you wanting to overclock? The 4590 will not overclock. If you aren't interested in overclocking, get a H97 motherboard instead.

Everything else is good.

Will it make much of a difference? I'm on a budget and I really only plan to use the SSD as a boot drive and store everything on the HDD

Looking at other forum posts, overclocking the cpu only makes a significant difference for some games that are particularly cpu intensive. I think I'll get the H97 and spend the difference on the samsung SSD
