Hi there, iv recently been having problems with my second HDD which is a WD caviar black 1tb, all was fine until about a week ago when I turned on the computer and about 5 folders had been deleted from this drive, I had not deleted them myself and they were not to be found in the recycling bin, I used recuva to get the files back but it was no use as I got the jpegs back they were damaged so would not open, I thankfully found the important photos backed up on one of my USB sticks and thought that was a bit strange and left it, today I turned my computer on and two program's had been uninstalled/deleted, iv done a full scan of both my main drive and the HDD to check for viruses/infections and have not found anything, I backed up what was left in the HDD and quick formatted it today, could anyone explain this strange situation? Faulty HDD? This is very important for me as I am a student doing photography and most of my photos got deleted off the HDD luckily none too important, any advice and explanation i am very grateful for , sorry for the long post
