Nvidia OG EVGA GTX TITAN SC SLI vs 980 SLI?

the OG titans have dropped in price. Thinking about adding a second titan to the mix but is the 980 sli better in terms of performance or equal? I know the cost is much more at this point , I'm just trying to make a decision to buy the other titan or wait another year.

any help is appreciated

obviously the 980s will be faster. 970s in sli should be cheaper. og titans still go for a pretty penny since they have more non gaming function. to be honest waiting for the gimped gm200 would be better… i would guess it will start near $700 and should push the 980 price down.

The gtx 980 is the second fastest card, the Titan X is the first. SLI confirms usually run better eith more VRAM for bigger resolutions. I would suggest an SLI of gtx 980 though, but I recommend that you wait another year and get yourself a graphics card running pascal the big stronger brother of maxwell I with up to 30GB VRAM if I remember correctly.

In my opinion right now you should go with the gtx 980 sli because you get way more bang for your buck. In a year or two the titan might be a good option. If you don't want to wait go for 980 sli config. Hope this helps you. :)
