Low FPS in Just Advanced Warfare

Just built a new PC and am running an i7-4790k and GTX 980 with the latest driver on a 1080p monitor and appropriate supporting hardware. I typically figure these issues out on my own but this one is rather perplexing. I've triple/quadruple checked my Nvidia Control Panel settings and in-game settings and everything looks ok. Vsnc isn't on, I’m running normal/average settings, misc shadows settings are off, however I'm averaging around 40-50 FPS on most maps in AW. A couple of maps I might hit in the low 70's. However in other games like BF3, Bad Company 2, BF4, Black Ops II, World at War, I'm easily hitting 100-120+ FPS with high settings. Could it be a bad install of the game? If I were experiencing FPS issues in the other games, then I'd think it might be a driver issue. Any thoughts?

Turn ssaa to 2x , turn cache shadow stuff off. If it does not help monitor gpu cpu details with msi afterburner . Write results for gpu usage cpu usage gpu power load frametimes etc. Make screenshots of osd whiel ingamr and post. Im homr in 1 hour and i check

World at War, BO II and Bad Company 2 are pretty much easy-peasy tasks for that rig, so no wonder they run fine. BF3/4 are decently heavier tho, so if they're running at above 100-120 fps it's pretty much fine.

If by "misc shadow" settings you mean "shadow caching" then yes, keep them disabled. They're so heavy on the VRAM that it doesn't matter what you do, you either get crappy graphics or horrible performance.

Supersampling is also horribly hungry, so either keep it disabled (if you have a 22" monitor it's practically unnoticeable) or at 2x. Anything higher just kills performance and adds nothing noticeable on screen.

Turn on shader preloading if you have it disabled. It makes loading times about 2 to 5 seconds longer for a MUCH smoother experience. Just enable the normal option tho, as the preloading during cutscenes one basically kills cutscenes (heavy stuttering, out of sync audio).

Last, but not least, if all else fails, lower details to high. The game had memory leak issues at launch and still has them on extra details, be they presets or custom settings.
