I've been trying to play Total War: Attila version 1.2 the past few weeks and i just cannot make it run well on my laptop
I have MSI Apache Pro with:
Intel i7-4710HQ 3.4Gh(turbo)
Nvidia GTX-860m 2Gb GDDR5
Windows 8.1 64-bit, res: 1920:1080
Latest Nvidia driver (march update)
The game debate and other sites rate my specs as if i can easily play Attila on high or adjusted settings, but
even on medium - low i get on average 17-22 FPS in mid scale battle. I've forced both launcher and game .exe in the control panel, set a priority in task manager and even tried razor booster to close unwanted programs but it's all still the same. Even when i look at my units closely i already get below 30 FPS.. I am not talking about battles like siege or other massive scale..
Can you please help me to find out the cause of my problem? Cuz I've tried every possible solution..
(Also i discovered that i if i go to task manager and analyze wait chain i get a message saying Attila.exe is waiting for resource that is being used in another app that requires that app to continue , and something with network I/O.. Not sure if it is important tho, but i had to mention it)
