My grandma's harddrive crashed on her about a month ago. It's a Dell computer, so they sent her a new harddrive, and a copy of Windows 8.1, both of which I installed. She wanted all of her photos from the corrupted harddrive, so I purchased a SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter, and hooked up the old harddrive (externally) to computer. I was able to see the folders and files that you would normally find in the 'Computer' section of working harddrive (Program Files, Program Files x86, etc.).

I also installed a recovery program from www.easeus.com. With a Quick Scan, it was able to find the same folders and files that I was already able to see after plugging the harddrive in externally.

My problem is that my grandma's pictures were located in the My Pictures folder, and I can't seem to find that folder anywhere in corrupted harddrive.

Im performing a Deep Scan now, but based on it's current speed I'm assuming it will be running for another 10 hours, and my fear is that it wont find these other folders.

Is it possible to find My Documents or My Pictures through any of the folders accessible from the 'Computer' section of folders available to me?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks
