Hi all

I have a router that is broadcasting at 40mhz / 150mbps and my network speeds are very slow compared to the real estimate
I tried many times copying from 1 pc to another this 2gb file
These are the specs at which my 2 pcs are communicating:

joenas 10.0.0.88 68:A3:C4........... 135.0 Mbit/s -47 dBm
Joerack-PC 10.0.0.92 30:46.......... 135.0 Mbit/s -57 dBm

The file transfer speed peaks at 4.30 MB/s (which would mean 30/35 Mbit/s at most)
So I'm working at more or less 1/4 of the real speed available

Is there a way to improve the network speed?
thank you

Solution
First connect your NAS via a wired ethernet.
1/4 the speed is about right for two devices transferring via wireless. WHY??? you ask. Each device has to operate at 1/2 duplex (send OR receive but not both at the same time) -- That cuts the bandwidth in half. Then you are splitting that bandwidth between two devices. Hence the 1/4 actual throughput.
