Installing a second hard drive.

Hey everyone. So I'm planning on getting another Seagate Barracuda 1tb for data so 1 is currently being used for operating system and other stuff and I want the second for games and stuff as they take up a lot of space.

I'm quite anxious on these few factors though and hopefully you guys can help me out.

1. When connecting new hard drive to SATA port, does it matter what SATA port I should use? My Mobo is the GIGABYTE GA-H81M-DS2V.

2. As they are the same drives will I have to reconfigure the bios boot options or will it remember the normal one?

3. When partitioning, how much space should I allow it to have?

Thanks!

1) Your motherboard has two SATA 6.0Gb/s and two SATA 3.0Gb/s ports. I'd connect the secondary hard drive to the available SATA 6.0Gb/s port.
2) You shouldn't need to reconfigure anything as long as you leave the original hard drive (with the OS installed on it) connected to the same SATA port it's always been connected to.
3) Unless you need more than one logical drive for your second physical drive, just partition it the same size as the drive.

Thank You very much. Also, how will the hard drive LED work now with 2 hard drives? And will windows task manager show something different for disk usage?
