I have a custom made PC that I made and had it for two years. Here is the set up:
Motherboard: ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO
Graphics Card: Integrated on the motherboard
No backup graphics card.
Power Supply: Consair 500w
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 2.7 Ghz
Harddrive: WD
OS: Windows 7 Pro / Open SUSE 13.2 (dual booted)
Display: 27" ASUS
Problem:
I have this system for two years. I bought every component to build this system. My friend who sold me this motherboard and it worked great. So, two days ago, I was getting errors or system hang and I didn't see any error codes and a long strings of folders and files locations and I reboot to system to get back on linux. So, I successfully boot in to linux with no problems until 30 minutes later, I got errors again and the system hang. So I reboot again, all I got was no screen display. Normally, it will show me BIOS Motherboard screen splash and go to grub selection. However it did not do that. After several reboots I get no good results. All I got were HDMI connection not detected on my display. So I pull the hdmi cable out and replugged in and still no results, so I got my VGA cable and plugged it in and no results. So, I pulled out my backup display monitor a dell monitor and it only have a VGA cable port so, I hooked it up and boot up my PC and still the same results, no display information showing on the monitor just a black screen that set my monitor to sleep.
I checked to see if my system board is running, all I see the 2 fans and 1 CPU fan is running, I have a green little light on the board lit, I feel my hard drive working. Power supply is working. So, my conclusion to this investigation is that integrated graphics on the system board is fried.
So, I'm on here to see what you guys think or suggest or advice. I do know the motherboard is old or outdated because there are far better newer motherboards available for me.
