I have this Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Hard drive for about 3-4 Years and suddenly today when I tried to plug it into my Sony Bravia TV to watch a movie it did not read anything.. The light glows up but it wont work.. When it was connected to the TV it was making noise like BEEP BEEP BEEP.. I disconnected it and connected it to my Laptop but it did not show up on either Device manager or Disk Management and now it is not making that noise of BEEP but still it is powering on after some what like 10-20 secs(unusual).. Please help someone.. I have 400 GB of data in it including my pictures of like 100-150 GB.. Please help ..

I can't really help you on finding one. :( Also, you can't be sure that this will help. I guess you can open up a new thread specifically for that.
Apart from that, when you've opened up the drive, you exposed the platters to dust contaminated environment. In my opinion, your safest bet of recovering the data is to contact a data recovery company.
It may be a good idea to wait for some more suggestions. Though, I doubt that they will be much different.

Hi there deadlyghost,

Beeping sounds in externals could be caused by a faulty cable. So, you can start with something as simple as just connecting the drive with another one.
If the issue persists though, given the fact the drive is not recognized by Disk Management and Device Manager, there is a possibility that there is something wrong with the enclosure. In this case, any software testing will most probably be of no use as the tools will not recognize the drive.
I guess you can try taking the drive out of the enclosure and connect in internally through SATA or externally with SATA to USB cable. Keep in mind that this will void the warranty if any. Also, make sure that the drive is not hardware encrypted.

Hope this will help,

I found that the read/write head was stuck upon the disk and after watching some videos on how to get the head back to its normal position and I did the same.. Now when I plug the hard drive through USB to PC it starts clicking.. I then tried to connect it to SATA and power it up from PSU but still it was clicking so I turned it off.. Do you know where can I find a interface/circuit board so that at least I can recover 400GB of my data? >_< so annoyed right now..
