So i bought a Wireless Network Adapter and i was wondering if I could do this. I want to get access to my main computer through Ethernet, then share it to my Wireless Adapter and use that as a WiFi hotspot rather than the adapter connecting to my router WiFi? So Computer Ethernet > Wireless Adapter > WiFi Devices.

I just explained. My PC connects to the internet Via Ethernet. The network adapter is a TP-Link USB Wireless Adapter with ad hoc capabilities, i want to use it as a hotspot.

Nevermind I eventually got it working, I just wanted to use my new Wireless Adapter as an access point OVER> my router WiFi for a better connection.

Just be aware that you have made your expensive computer into a $20 AP. You must be very careful not to run anything very intensive on the PC because it will delay the traffic for the other devices using your computer as a router. The software feature you are using was developed to share dialup phone modems back in the day there was no such thing as a router for a home user. Seems windows 10 has made some enhancements to this feature so maybe it will not be as sensitive to other stuff running on the computer.

Been running it for a few hours now and everything seems to be fine so far. I've had things being watched, downloaded and extracted on my computer while things like YouTube and Netflix ran on mobile devices flawlessly with no stutter. Of course for this to work my computer needs to be on, its just a simple share network method.
