Possible to recover passwords from deleted profile?

Windows 7, IE 8

Normal policy is to re-image a machine prior to been given to a new user. On this occasion the user profile was deleted. Is it possible for the new user to access the previous owners passwords?

for internet passwords if you deleted history, cookies and stored passwords then you have nothing to worry about... also make sure to delete all system restore points predating the user deletion
IMO best action would be to do a clean install of the OS

and if the Internet Explorer history, cookies and stored passwords were not deleted. How can they be accessed? More importantly can they be deleted?

easiest way to delete them is to use CCleaner - it will allow you to delete both windows and internet history
If they stay on the computer (stored passwords) the new owner can easily see your passwords. And i remember there was a way to use cookies to log into account that was last used on certain site
