I'm trying to get files off an external HDD which is out ov a samsung tv recorder. The files are MPEG. All I'm getting every time I try to cope one of the files is ownership and permission dialogue box. I've tried for a long time I am the owner administrator I have full control. I've tried the sharing properties on the external hdd as well. I've been trying now for a week on and off there must be a way to do this. Any help will be very much appreciated I'm using windows 7 ultimate

It's the permissions dialog box that you must deal with solve that issue.
Highlight your admin user account, then click "Edit" to change the permissions by ticking the appropriate check-boxes.
When done, click 'OK'.

I think because the hdd is out of a Samsung dvd hdd recorder its impossible when i look on properties details of mpeg4 there are no details although xxxgb is being used, Ive searched to see if it is coded or could be decoded but i dont think so
