I hope this is the right place to post this, apologies if it's not.

Hi, I recently got a gaming PC built with the following specs:

Windows 7 64-bit
AMD FX 6300 6 core 3.5ghz
8gb ram
GeForce gtx 750 Ti

Whenever I start up Borderlands 2 I get a crash at the screen just before the BL2 title screen, reinstalling it fixes it for a day or two then it happens again, same thing with Bioshock Infinite.. it crashes but at the 2K logo.

Borderlands 2 is being played through steam so I've verified game cache many times, my GPU drivers are up to date, there are no outstanding windows updates, I've tried moving the DLC files to another folder in case the error was to do with that, I've tried disabling my unused hdmi audio ports, I've tried starting the game in a lower resolution, windowed mode and -launcher but still no dice. I even tried entering "-cpuCount=2" in the BL2 launch options to use less cores to see if that'd help and nope..

I found an article about the AMD FX series processors having clashes with steam and games run through it and it suggested I do a BIOS update which I went to do only to find out I had the latest one.

I've run out of things to try short of contacting the place I got it put together and demanding a replacement processor which I'm not even 100% sure is the issue..

I play Team Fortress 2 and L4D2 from steam and neither have issues, neither does Skyrim or Starcraft 2.

I'm at my wits end, if anyone has anything else they could suggest I'd greatly appreciate it.

If you need more info just ask.
