can my room being cold damage my cds and destroy my files on them forever.

Also I put a cd in the computer and it wont do anything except make the wirring sounds how do I Fix the cd?

What do you consider cold? It is highly doubtful that you will damage them with cold. Water on the other hand and direct sunlight can and quickly.

You don't. It separates the layers in the CD and destroys them.

Try another drive to read them. Maybe you just have a bad drive.

As nukemaster states, if the read head has failed in the drive then it won't read the CD's. Try them in another drive and if that works than you just need to purchase a new CD drive.
