At 1080p, I can max out game settings now. Even Crysis 3 is playable with max settings. But 4K is going to require either a Titan Z ( http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/nvidia_geforce_gtx_titan_z_review,18.html ) or dual 290X/780 Ti.

(Nvidia recommends a 700W minimum for the Z)
A single 780 Ti, 600W minimum is recommended. I think an 850W high end PSU would be enough for 2 x 250W TDP 780 Ti.
Dual 300W 290X cards might need a bit more headroom, although I'd probably try it with my 850W XFX Black Edition.
