Hello, so basically I have been planning on upgrading my poor proccessor, which is intel i5 650, to one of those in the title. And just have been wondering which one to take. The problem is that my budget isn't too big, but I still want it to boost my performance, so it's quite noticable.

So my question are:

What is the difference between "k" processors and the simple ones.

Will there be a big difference if I buy the simple one, rather than the k one,
I still probably want the 4th gen though.

Will it be a big improvment to my system?
+Any advice on top, would be much appreciated.

System:

CPU: intel core i5 650 (2 core)

GPU: GTX 760 DirectCU II OC, (I didn't know much about pcs, when I bought this. I don't concider overclocking yet.)

RAM: 8

Motherboard: Gigabyte Tech Co. H55M-UD2H (I am aware of needing to upgrade that aswell for the new socket)

Operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate.

Screen resolution: 1920x1080

Thanks in advance.

The "K" simply means the CPU has an unlocked clock multiplier for overclocking. Otherwise they are identical.
You will, of course, need a new motherboard if you want to modernize with a haswell processor.
