Hi Tom's Community,
Recently my 5Ghz wifi stopped working after I upgraded to Windows 8.1. I have a TP Link AC Archer C7 Dual-band Router and a AC dual-band USB Adapter. They used to work fine but now when I try to connect to the 5Ghz it just says cannot connect to network. However, my phone can connect to the 5Ghz just fine so I thought it's my adapter's issue, but after I got a replacement Belkin usb adapter it connected to the 5Ghz for about 10 seconds and then it lost connection and can't connect again. My computer is a fresh windows install and all I have is Norton and Steam, so I tried disabling Norton's AV and Firewall which still didn't fix the problem. I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version and still no fix. My 2.4Ghz connect is extremely unstable and I get lag spikes every 3-5 minutes when I'm playing a game. Is there any way to fix this?
My ISP is Comcast and the only thing connected to the 5Ghz network is my phone right now.
