I dropped my hard drive about 1 meter last night and when I plugged it in, the computer can still read it and I can still see the files. However, I can't play the files because the computer becomes so slow and it hangs so I just exit it. I formatted it and tried to put back the files but i can't anymore. It can't even transfer a 270MB file. Help?

Hey anjerrieb. This sounds pretty unfortunate. :(
It looks like the drive might have been damaged badly. I'd suggest that you download the manufacturer's diagnostic tool to try to test the drive and see what's the situation with it, e.g. if it has any errors or bad sectors.
Please let me know what are the test results.

Yup, as abouve it sounds like it can still read the file tables, but the bit where the files are actually written is damaged.

If you find it freezes when scanning the disk at exactly 25/50/75%, one of the platters has completely gone.
