let me put it in perspective: no game has ye to max out sandy bridge, intel's 2000 series. You're on haswell, the 4000 series (and on top of that, the 4790k is the Devil's Canyon portion of Haswell along with the i5 4690k). If you're worried about gaming performance, don't even bother worrying about i7 and go i5 4690k, unless you have the money for an i7 handy
