what kind of psu should i buy?

i plan to build a new pc and i'm not sure what kind of psu i should buy becuase i want to be able to overclock my system in the future.

Is a corsair RM650 good or what do you think?

i7 4790k
palit gtx 970 jet stream
msi z97 gaming5

i7 is so overkill lol

But to answer your question, 700-750w is more than perfect for your situation. You could probably even go 550w if you wanted but I would go 700 just so you can upgrade things in the future without worrying about wattage.

do you mean i should buy the i5? because i also thought about it but heared that the hyperthreading is getting used in the new games and will change a lot between the difference of i5 to i7

let me put it in perspective: no game has ye to max out sandy bridge, intel's 2000 series. You're on haswell, the 4000 series (and on top of that, the 4790k is the Devil's Canyon portion of Haswell along with the i5 4690k). If you're worried about gaming performance, don't even bother worrying about i7 and go i5 4690k, unless you have the money for an i7 handy :)
